To ensure a perfect fit for your new driveway gate, it’s important to take accurate measurements of your existing gate. With these measurements in hand, our team of experts can craft a bespoke gate that perfectly matches your needs and specifications.
DOUBLE DRIVEWAY GATE WIDTH
- Measure the width of your existing gate at the top and bottom.
- Choose the smallest of the two measurements.
- Deduct 45mm from the measurement to account for gaps on either side and in the center of the gate (15mm per gap).
- Deduct an additional 140mm to account for the thickness of the two 70mm wall posts that will support the gate.
- The resulting measurement is the width of your double driveway gate.

GARDEN & SIDE GATE WIDTH
- Measure the width of your existing gate at the top and bottom.
- Choose the smallest of the two measurements.
- Deduct 30mm from the measurement to account for gaps on either side of the gate (15mm per gap).
- Deduct an additional 90mm to account for the thickness of the two 45mm wall posts that will support the gate.
- The resulting measurement is the width of your single garden gate.

GATE HEIGHT
- Measure from the bottom of the gate to the top of the stiles of the gate.
- For driveway gates with curved tops, measure from the side stiles.
- This measurement is the height of your gate.
